So I featured the acapella of this tune on my most recent mixtape “YOOR DOENG IT RONG” and I wanted to call your attention to these guys. They are a Swedish electro outfit called Maskinen and I’m really digging the video for their single “Alla Som Inte Dansar”. This track actually provoked a certain amount of controversy in Sweden, as the chorus apparently translates to “anyone who is not dancing is a rapist” (or words to that effect). Apart from being a hilarious hook which would probably not work as well in english, I really dig the cadence of the vocal on this track. Granted, I don’t understand a word of it but the rhythmic combination of syllables is still catchy as hell.
Anyway, I’m off to the Fool’s Gold/Dim Mak Screaming Bloody Murder tour tonight! Expect a full review write-up on Monday.
