The Goodfellaz are at it again!

This is also the last year for Goodfellaz events as the crew is moving on to other projects. I’d like to take a moment to talk about this company. They have been a really great influence in my career over the years. They were the first production company to start giving me high profile time-slots and help me build up a name for myself. In addition to throwing really great parties they also conduct their business with a sense of personal integrity that is rare in the music business. Being involved in a Goodfellaz project is always a lot of hard work, but I’ve always felt that investment in time and energy pay off because the quality of event and attention to detail really shine through. I’m sure a lot of people feel the same way as evidenced by their loyal global fan-base and certainly every time I have gotten up on stage at one of their parties I have always been greeted by a sea of smiling, happy faces!

So as I mentioned earlier, this is the last year for Goodfellaz events. I think in part this is because the scene in Toronto has shifted it’s focus. In some ways this is a good thing as it has created a lot of fresh interest and allowed things to move forward. At the same time it is certainly the end of an era, which is a bit sad but also something to be celebrated. Smile is the first of three Goodfellaz events this year, the next being their stage at the World Electronic Music Festival this summer and the final event to be held in September. All of these events are going to be epic and I’ll be sure to post up info as it becomes available. For now, hats off to the ‘Fellaz for all their hard work over the years. You guys have kept Toronto groovin through some tough times.
