So Friday night was the Toronto date for the Fool’s Gold tour. All in all it was a fantastic night. All the DJs threw down solid sets that had us dancing literally the entire night (well, minus the 40 minute fiasco of trying to get a drink at the overpriced and overcrowded bar).
We intended on getting there nice and early but as it turned out we didn’t make it into the club until halfway through Jokers Of The Scene. I was a bit dissapointed about that at first, but the tail half of their set totally made up for it. A-Trak came on after them and tore the place up. The final act was Sinden who closed out the show with his usual eclectic-yet-danceable selection.
We saw a lot of people who we haven’t seen in a while and had a great time. I should have pictures up shortly, I’m just in the process of extracting them from our new digital camera.
I spent the rest of the weekend working in the studio preparing for the label launch on the 25th and getting a little work in on some of the new tracks that Guy Michael and I have been laying down. Also, I cruised ebay for a bit on Sunday and picked up a new mixer for the studio. It’s a small-to-mid sized console but it should suit the purposes of the studio since we tend to do the majority of our work “in the box” anyway. I can’t wait for it to be delivered so I can tear apart the whole studio and re-wire everything a bit more neatly.
