Rewind to about a month and a half ago. There I was on a Saturday afternoon, lazily sifting through the endless blogosphere separating wheat from chaff as I tend to do on Saturday afternoons. I happened across a random blog post on the Curb Crawler’s Blog espousing the merits of one denizen of High Wycombe, England; a man who goes by the name ‘Foamo’. This particular blog post also contained a Zshare link to ‘Moving It Over Here’, Foamo’s first (and at that time unsigned) production release. Duly downloaded and added to my iTunes library, this track soon became my obsession. I must have listened to it 100 times in the first 24 hours. The trouble was, I had no info whatsoever about the producer other than his name.
Following a brief search I managed to track down Foamo’s MySpace page. At the time all it contained was a brief snippet of Moving It Over Here as played on Radio One and pretty much no information at all. Subsequently he has added several additional tunes he’s produced, as well as some free downloadable mixtapes so it’s well worth a trip over there. All the free promo downloads of Moving It Over Here got taken down shortly after that on account of it’s pending release on UK electro label Cubism. The single is sure to wreck your face and features slick remixes by Digital Filth & Nick Supply.
Also worth noting, I put the promo I downloaded of Moving It Over Here to good use and included it on my latest mixtape ‘YOOR DOENG IT RONG’ which you can locate in the mixtapes download section on this site.
