i so wish i had went to this now. last sunday thousands of people protested scientology worldwide. most protesters opted to wear masks (many donning “V for Vendetta” style Guy Fawkes masks for extra style points). mark and i were going to go and take pictures but decided not to (we had been out all night [...] today has been the proverbial “shit show”. i think things are just catching up to me at work. i’m realizing that the program director is going to be leaving for an extended 3 month break starting pretty much next week and it’s going to fall on me to keep the whole portfolio afloat. i’m sure i [...] so, i haven’t been to 178 Bathurst St in almost 10 years. actually, that’s not true i was there once to mix sound when it was Healey’s but that was an altogether different experience. basically, the club is almost the same as when it was the BassMint. a bit better lit and slightly cleaner but more [...] woot! Gobs and i put the finishing touches on our track last night and it’s off to Ruffage at PureFocus for mastering! i’m really excited to hear it played at Blak this weekend. it’ll be the first time since being back in toronto that i’ve heard one of my tracks played out and the first [...] this is the flyer for the party that Gobs the Zombie is spinning at this weekend. he will be spinning an “all pussy tracks” set which will feature a “dubplate” of our new track… this track is so new i don’t even know the official name for it yet here’s the details: Terror Inc Presents… “..I [...] my favorite channel on our tv is 000. they have hooked this channel up to the camera in the lobby of our building. presumably this is to help you identify whom you are buzzing up. i’ve only ever used it for this purpose once, but sometimes i just leave it on that channel to see [...] got off an hour early from work today! apparently the impending snow storm was enough to make the execs send us all home before the rush. passing Old Mill station on the subway on the way home i got a view of the snow covering all the bare trees in the park. it looked pretty epic. so, [...] bah. so it looks like we will not be picking up the tickets for Dirty Dancing since the only available showing is a wednesday. carole and i had a discussion and we both agree that we are just not hardcore enough for musical theater mid-week. the way i see it, that’s just a slippery slope… [...] so it’s confirmed! carole and i will be going to see two musicals during the month of march. at the beginning of the month we have tickets for Dirty Dancing and towards the end of the month we have tickets to see Evil Dead: The Musical! i’m pretty pumped for both of these shows, as all i’ve [...] apparently neither my external soundcard or the VariOS like to be on a USB hub. this is a problem as i only have 2 USB ports on my laptop. the only possible solution i can think of is to buy a pcmcia USB card, move my current USB hub to the card and plug the [...] |
