it’s that time of year where the winter has begun to wear me down to the point where i don’t want to do anything, ever. i can’t get excited about anything and my inclination is to just sit around the house and be bored. normally i consider myself a very positive person but for the [...] hey folks, i know i’ve been saying i was going to post this for about a week now so here it is: Zombootie (Gimme That Brain) – Gobs The Zombie and Kink this is the first track Gobs and Kink have released this year. this tune was only just finished about a week and a half ago and [...] i don’t know how this happened but there was a car accident INSIDE the little drop off circle in front of our building. the accident itself was minor, but the two drivers have been arguing for about 45 minutes and the cops just showed up… i’m going to make some lunch and then check in to [...] so, i finally took the time to check out the tunes on Lair Driver’s MySpace page (sorry Chris, i’ve been busy). but yeah, to the point: they are some seriously pounding tunes. if you are into tribal techno at all it’s worth checking them out. so one of my co-workers is taking vacation until the 25th. she normally sits in the office which faces the elevators. although she is not officially the “receptionist” for our department, her close proximity to the preferred entrance to our area results in the majority of visitors coming to her office first to ask questions [...] roses are red have a great valentine’s day people! *sigh* yeah, i spent the whole night working on the Zombootie remix last night (Gobs couldn’t make it over to work on tunes so it was just me). on the plus side i’ve got a ton of really great ideas crammed into a 3 minute long track; on the negative side i’m starting to second-guess myself. [...] so, Gobs didn’t make it over to the studio last night. we’ve postponed until later this week. as a result i got a chance to put some more work into the Zombootie remix. i’m not sure if this is just me, or if all “artists” go through this but my attention span for creative things can [...] chances are i’ll be hitting circa on friday, base war on saturday and thunderpussy on sunday. i’ve got monday off so i figured i would cross off all of those nights that have been on my partying “to do list” for some time… by no means should this be construed as a commitment. not only am [...] i got started on the remix of Zombootie. it’s a lot twitchier than the original and i’m really liking it. i think it’s got a bit of an oldskool hard house flavor to it, but with a very electro house sound. production is going really quickly so i’m figuring it will be done by the [...] |
